The tank performs non-invasive, online and real-time health monitoring during operation to achieve early warning, location and degree rating of damage and leakage.
The ultrasonic sensor detection method is adopted to comprehensively detect the corrosion defects in the bottom plate of the storage tank, locate the corrosion defects, and evaluate the severity of the defects under the condition of the existence of corrosion defects.
The ultrasonic sensor is excited by pulse excitation, and the acoustic signal generated by the acoustic sensor propagates in the bottom plate of the storage tank. Different acoustic signal features are extracted to determine whether the corrosion defect and crack defect exist. If the defect exists, the type and severity of the defect are evaluated.
By calculating the time difference between the arrival time of the received signal and the emission time of the excitation signal, the position of corrosion and crack defects can be determined according to a certain algorithm, so as to realize the defect positioning function.
